Chronic Disease is Caused by Poor Nutrition

Research conducted during the last three decades has made it clear that the major chronic diseases of Americans are nutrition-related health problems: coronary artery disease, cancer, hypertension, stroke, diabetes and obesity. Nutritional care is now an integral part of the total care of patients. The recommended dietary allowances (RDA) are said to be the amounts of essential nutrients that will meet the known metabolic needs of “essentially all healthy persons.” Who are these “ essentially healthy persons” ? Are you?

Who Falls Into the "Unhealthy" Category of Society?
.

People who:

  • Have very large or small body size
  • Live in hot climates or work in a hot environment
  • Have heavy work stress
  • Have wounds, burns, or injuries
  • Are taking medications
  • Have digestive problems
  • Are pregnant or nursing mothers
  • Have a unique metabolism
  • Have chronic illnesses

Most people who seek my help fall into one or more of these categories. This means that many of us may need more than the recommended dietary allowances (RDA) of nutrients. To add to the problem, the diet of many Americans is getting worse. The fact is, between 80 to 90% of us do not even receive the RDA of all essential nutrients from our food.

Multigenics is the name of the multiple-vitamin, multiple-mineral formula I recommend to my patients. I have found it to be an exceptional nutritional supplement. It contains not just RDA levels but optimum levels of essential vitamins, minerals and nutrients in a scientifically balanced formula.

How Lifestyle Choices Affect Your Nutrition
.

Environmental and lifestyle stresses can increase the needed level of essential nutrients beyond what can be supplied by a balanced diet. As an example, think of your body as a car that gets 20 miles to the gallon. Now put a heavy load in the car and drive it uphill against the wind. Suddenly, your mileage is not so good. The extra load, “stress” on the car’s engine requires more fuel for the car to go the same distance. The same is true with us.

A list of some of the common stresses that can increase the load on your body and therefore increase the amount of essential nutrients we need to function at our best, would include:

  • Regular alcohol use
  • Regular coffee use
  • Chronic dieting
  • Use of prescription or illegal drugs
  • Heavy exercise
  • Cigarette smoke
  • Old age
  • Poor digestion
  • Surgery
  • Oral contraceptive use
  • Infection or illness
  • Pregnancy
  • Lack of exercise
  • Exposure to radiation
  • Injuries or wounds
  • Exposure to air/water pollution
  • Exposure to pesticides, preservatives, etc.
  • Increased emotional or occupational stress

The Solution to Achieve Good Nutrition
.

These nutrients are supplied in highly absorbable forms, in fast-release tablets which help get more out of every tablet you take.

Multigenics Intensive Care features the same high quality ingredients found in Multigenics, but is particularly suited to the elderly or those with reduced digestive competence.

Both products are totally free of potentially irritating binders, fillers, coloring agents, preservatives and or lubricants. Multigenics and Multigenics Intensive Care are also available without iron.

It is certainly true that no supplement can be used as a substitute for a good diet. But the fact is, a good diet isn’t always enough. Multigenics and Multigenics Intensive Care will complete your basic nutritional foundation for optimal health.

Yours for Better Health,
