Root of Life
Because both Yang Jing and Yin Jing are located in the Kidney,
the Kidney is said to be the root of Yin and Yang and of Water
and Fire for the entire body. These two opposing primal forces
constantly interact and together are called the Root of Life ,
which is the source of growth, transformation, regeneration and
reproduction. Neither one can exist without the other, and a
deficiency of one or the other will lead to imbalances in other
organ systems that will eventually lead to disease and even
death if the original imbalance in the Kidneys is not corrected.
