Do
you have silver looking fillings in your mouth? Have they
corroded and turned black? When you get your teeth cleaned,
do they shine up to a bright silver color? What is this
material and is it safe. When black turns to silver, what
is happening is that mercury is brought to the surface.
Mercury may seem solid but if you have experimented with
mercury, it is soft all the time. It is this physical
property that makes mercury both useful and dangerous.
Fact
The fillings are composed of metals mixed with almost
equal parts of mercury. Is mercury safe? The FDA regulates
dangerous chemicals and in cosmetics, lists 12 chemicals
that can not be put in skin products. Surprise, mercury
and methylmethacrylate are two of the 12 and equally shocking,
both of these banned chemicals are used routinely in dental
restorations. Dentures and partials contain methylmethacrylate
and fillings contain mercury. In fact, mercury containers
have the skull and crossbone that indicate poisons.
Question
So why is mercury that is a poison put in filling?
Science
and Alchemistry
Mercury is a rare element that amalgamates or alloys with
other metals. If you were to put the other ingredients
without mercury into the filling, you would basically
being putting in powder. Combined with a liquid, it would
still be mud that has no strength. In order to make a
hard solid filling, mercury is added so that the other
metals will combine together to form a solid mass. The
ideal property of this filling is that while it is setting,
the material is compressible and can be smashed into a
cavity preparation. Once it is properly placed, the filling
hardens and supposedly becomes an inert, non harmful restoration.
But is this fact or wishful thinking?
Fact
The truth is that the filling only appears to be inert.
Instead, the filling is very much active. When we eat
or grind down on our fillings, mercury ions are released
and carried to the oral tissues through the electrolyte
saliva. A battery is formed that generates electric currents
that alter the conditions of the mouth. The mercury ions
are in low concentrations so that the health effects take
a long time. When the mercury ions get into body fluids
that includes blood and lymph fluids, the mercury is carried
to the body cells where it poisons the cells by blocking
energy transfer. The cells become sick due to lack of
energy. Mercury amalgamates with the minerals in the cell
that are needed for enzyme action. Just as mercury combines
with metals, mercury combines with minerals that are also
metals but with a different name.
Science
and Alchemistry
Mercury releases a vapor that attracts positive charges
from metals. Mercury is used to process gold by combining
with the gold particles and then when heated, the mercury
evaporates in a vapor, leaving the precious metal in a
crystal form.
Theory
Our body generates a mystic energy that may be some form
of mineral that passes energy by receiving electricity
and then transferring it to the next mineral. This process
creates circulation of energy. Some Alchemists believe
that this energy is some form of precious metal. Precious
metals carry this energy whereas other non precious metals
oxidize to form rust. This energy is the source of living
organisms. What blocks or destroys this energy are poisons.
And at the top of the list is mercury. Mercury amalgamates
with the precious metals, destroying the precious energy
carriers of the body.
Fact
Despite dentists denials of harmful effects of mercury
amalgams, dental students are taught that expectant mothers
should not go to the dental office during pregnancy. The
reason is due to mercury vapors and other chemicals used
in the dental office release vapors that poison the fetal
child.
Question
Why are dentists and especially the FDA still using
amalgams?
Amalgams are ideal economical fillings that are successful
because metal rust. The rusting seals the cavity so that
bacteria and other chemicals can not enter the pulp of
the tooth. Anywhere else in the body, rust is what makes
us sick but in the oral cavity, rust is what saves our
teeth. If it was not for the mercury vapors, amalgams
would be an ideal filling.
Fact
Other countries are working toward banning mercury amalgams
yet in the United States, there is no such effort. The
American Dental Association gets around the issue by claiming
that they have no control of what dentists use as restorations.
Dentists
wear masks and gloves but you as patients are not so lucky.
Removing the fillings might be more dangerous than simply
leaving them alone. While drilling out the fillings, mercury
vapors are released from the heat generated by the drill.
Once you have the fillings, you must decide if it is safer
to live with the dilemma or remove the fillings. If you
are chronically ill, the best treatment is to remove one
filling every three months. Go to a holistic dentists
who trains himself and his staff to undertake this dangerous
procedure. Replace the fillings with composites or materials
that do not generate electricity.
From
my experience as a dentist, I have had many associates
in clinical dentistry, I recall only one dentist that
used amalgams in his or her loved ones. I know of only
one dentist that used the filling material on his ownself.
Even our staff that includes, the desk personnel, would
not have mercury amalgams. Yet, our offices continued
to place amalgams in people we did not know personally.
Enough said.
Question
Can oral hygiene products help?
Maybe,
if the oral hygiene products neutralize the electricity
that releases the poison ions. Electric currents are carried
by electrons that oxidize the environment. Oxidizing molecules
are called oxidants. Most oral hygiene products are oxidants.
Instead, we must quit using oxidants and start using antioxidants.
Antioxidants neutralize oxidation and may help eliminate
the electricity of mercury. Doctors Health Supply and
Health Store has available products to use as oral hygiene
products to replace the conventional oxidizing toothpaste
and antiseptic mouthwash. Next month, we will discuss
tooth decay and do dentists want to eliminate tooth decay
or do they want to stay in business by blaming tooth decay
on sugar bugs.
Until next month,
